Rockport’s quality of life depends upon water as a vital, finite natural asset. The Ad Hoc Water Committee (AHWC) is uniquely-positioned because it is the only Town body, serving solely at the discretion of Residents through Town Meeting. Its mission is to serve as a collaborative resource to the Department of Public Works Commissioners and any Town bodies or initiatives where an opportunity exists to promote the goal of “conserving and preserving” Rockport’s potable water, as well as other water-related infrastructure.
Our town map shows nine watersheds.
